What happens if my child's Khanmigo conversation gets flagged?

We use moderation technology to detect Khanmigo interactions that may be inappropriate, harmful or unsafe. That said - like so much of this technology, our moderation system is new and we know that it won’t always flag things consistently with these guidelines. We are regularly reviewing the content that Khanmigo flags and updating our processes accordingly. 

When the moderation system is triggered, it automatically sends an email and notification to an adult connected to the child’s account. 

• If the child only has a parent connected to their account, the parent will receive the notification and the email alerting them to the moderation flag. 
• If the child has both a parent and a teacher connected to their account, the teacher will receive the moderation notification and email. 
• If the child only has a teacher on their account, the teacher will receive the moderation notification and email. 
• If the student has multiple teachers connected to their account, all teachers will receive the notification and email.
